Rising interest rates, increasing land-use restrictions in certain municipalities, and heavier, market-disconnected taxation: these are all obstacles to developing a sufficient number of housing units. Cédric de Lestrange, president of Axe Immobilier, spoke with Grégory Darricau of Radio Immo at MIPIM 2024 in Cannes to analyze these issues and go beyond the assumption that tax investment schemes are the be-all and end-all for boosting demand.
