AXE IMMOBILIER AMONG THE FIRST MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION OF OFF-SITE CONSTRUCTION ACTORS IN FRANCE
Statement of Stephan de Faÿ, managing director of Grand Paris Aménagement on the signing of the charter for development of offsite construction
"French off-site construction reached a major milestone this morning, a 'founding moment' to use the expression of Jean-Philippe Dugoin-Clément.
Firstly, through the signing of an ambitious charter by which 10 major public project owners and the Île-de-France Order of Architects are mobilizing for a French excellence sector that fully serves the territories and their inhabitants. Specifically, these project owners commit to achieving, by 2031, 50% of their production in off-site construction, a colossal ambition that amounts to millions of square meters and constitutes a major opportunity to reduce the environmental impact of construction, as well as rehabilitation.
This morning also saw the birth of the Association of Off-Site Construction Actors in France, which already includes around forty members, public and private project owners, project managers, building engineering companies, inspection offices, manufacturers, and more. This association aims to unite the sector, make it known, but above all, to advance it so that it fully meets the challenges of quality living, territorial integration, overall environmental performance (of which carbon is only one aspect), and the reduction of construction costs.
This association aims to work hand in hand with the various associations that, in one way or another, work in the same direction to democratize this proven construction method.
Thanks to Pierre PAULOT and John Tanguy and their teams for all the work accomplished over the past twelve months, to the project owners who signed the charter: Société du Grand Paris, Immobilière 3F, CDC Habitat, Adoma (Groupe CDC Habitat), Groupe ADP, EpaMarne EpaFrance, RATPgroup, SNCF IMMOBILIER, EPF Ile-de-France, and Grand Paris Aménagement, as well as the first members, particularly the National Council of the Order of Architects, and to those, already numerous, who wish to join us.
Thanks to the Université de la Ville de Demain for also playing the role of accelerator in this initiative where public and private actors work hand in hand.
Finally, thanks to Prime Minister Elisabeth BORNE for including the emergence of an excellent French off-site sector in the actions of the roadmap decided at the end of the National Council of refoundation (CNR Logement), the French off-site actors will be there."
